For centuries the kingdom of Easthaven has been led by the Oracles, a series of women chosen by the Triple Goddesses to receive visions of the future. Five years ago, the last Oracle passed away and twin oracles were revealed to take her place. Their divine nature recognized, the children were taken to the Palace to be raised in the ways of the Twin Goddesses whom they are believed to embody. Soon they will come of age and take their place as the leaders of Eashaven. The whole country is abuzz--some with excitement and others with mutiny. It's time to see where everyone stands, as war still rages on the Western border...

MAI NOA Position: The Mother Goddess’ Council Representative Rank: Priestess Birth month and day: July 3rd Zodiac Animal: Horse Age: 23 Height: 5’3 Weight: 110lbs Physical Description: Mai Noa is of average height and weight and possesses the grossly unexaggerated body of a woman. Her thick black hair is worn long and down, and her attire of choice is a modest dress and simple sandals. Noa has been taught to talk and walk with the gracefulness of a woman born into nobility, gifted with great power, and blessed with a gentile nature. While she does it when appropriate, she also hasn’t forgotten how to run like a child, talk with her hands like a man, and she never shies away from expressing all of who she is in her expressions.
Personality Description: Noa is a passionate woman, far too much so to fit in well with the average soft-tempered priestess. The quiet life of pious penitence always was a glove too small for her hand. The day she was declared Council Representative—and partially released from her priestess role—was the day Noa gained a new kind of freedom. Her love and devotion for the Mother Goddess is less quiet and prayerful and far more expressive and declarative. She is, you might say, a new brand of priestess.
Noa is confident and curious. She isn’t afraid of new things and likes to test the unknown. She is seldom hesitant, which often results in rash decisions that bring swift regret.
Noa’s greatest strength is her courage, and her greatest weakness is her lack of forethought.
Religious Preferences: Noa is a devout worshipper of the Mother Goddess. She is of the religious mentality that The Mother Goddess is the most powerful goddess, and she believes that she is the mother of the Lunar and Solar goddesses. This belief has only been solidified since the coming of the twin oracles. Noa, of course, respects the other two goddesses, but she does believe the Mother is supreme and is due the highest praise.

BIO Noa is the firstborn and only daughter of Mai Wei, a cousin of the Mai heir family. Wei married a simple man with no honor to his name, Fang Takashi. When their daughter was born they chose her surname, wanting to keep her ties to the noble family prominent, even if her Fang blood gave cause for slander. It was not the blood alone.
When Noa was only three her father began to abuse her mother. Wei withstood Takashi’s form of punishment, thinking that to stay with him was what was best for Noa. This changed when Takashi began to hurt Noa too. Wei quietly divorced him and fled to the temple of the Mother Goddess. Despite being married at one time and having a daughter with her, the temple priestesses took her in. Wei began her time there as a cleaner, but as her faith in the Mother Goddess grew she later pursued and became a priestess. More than just a priestess, she was also gifted with healing powers.
Noa was raised in Candra Temple. She was allowed to stay by her mother’s side, learning to believe at a young age. She was taught the statutes of the Mother Goddess and also disciplined in the subjects that every educated Havenfolk ought to know.
Wei was called to the frontline as a healer when Noa was only nine. The obvious decision was for her to leave Noa at Candra Temple to be raised by the priestesses, but Wei was not an obvious woman. Much to the surprise and chagrin of the priestesses who had helped raise Noa, the young girl was packed up and taken to battle with her mother.
Wei and Noa were never in the midst of battle. They remained far behind the action in the safety of healing tents, always on call to jump to the aid of the wounded and dying. Noa learned basic first aid and how to use healing herbs at a young age. Bleeding men became a usual sight. She had been raised by a gathering of gentle priestess mothers, and in her later years she became educated about the world by handfuls of hardened warrior fathers. She grew to love and appreciate every side of life and society. She intended to spend the remainder of her days in those healing tents with her mother, but the gift of the Mother Goddess changed her fate.
At the ripe age of thirteen Noa was struck by both puberty and magic—at the same time. She was answering nature’s call in the woods when she noticed her first blood. Uninformed of the way of a woman’s body, she was startled and terrified by what she saw, and in her panic she stumbled into her earth magic. Noa was immediately sent back to Candra Temple where she was tested. It was revealed to her that the Goddess had gifted her with the control of the elements earth and water. The good times with her mother and the warriors had come to an end.
Noa returned to Temple Chandra and immediately began learning to use her magic. Her mother returned with her. As Noa climbed in knowledge and consequently power, Wei climbed in social spheres. Wei was acknowledged for her extensive experience in the war and respected for her advanced healing abilities. She showed a passion and vigor for the ways of the Mother Goddess that was almost unparalleled. When the Mother Goddess Representative of the Council died of old age, Wei was selected to replace her.
To bring a long story to a quick close, Noa sought and was eventually gifted with healing powers, like her mother. Wei served well on the Council, but recently stepped down from the position and declared Noa her replacement, claiming it was the will of the Mother Goddess.
