For centuries the kingdom of Easthaven has been led by the Oracles, a series of women chosen by the Triple Goddesses to receive visions of the future. Five years ago, the last Oracle passed away and twin oracles were revealed to take her place. Their divine nature recognized, the children were taken to the Palace to be raised in the ways of the Twin Goddesses whom they are believed to embody. Soon they will come of age and take their place as the leaders of Eashaven. The whole country is abuzz--some with excitement and others with mutiny. It's time to see where everyone stands, as war still rages on the Western border...

Tang Yin Position: The Lunar Goddess’ Council Representative Rank: Priestess Birth month and day: January 1 Zodiac Animal: Rat Age: 27 Height: 5’5 Weight: 90 lbs Physical Description: Yin is on the upper end to height for a woman, but, despite this, she seems very small. Her whole appearance screams dainty, from her delicate features, to the small smile that is always on her face. Her warm brown eyes are very inviting, and she carries herself with an air of grace and balance. She’s often in loose, flowing clothes, either silver, purple, or black, in accordance with the colors of the temple she serves.
Personality Description: On the surface, Yin is very welcoming. Seeming to be one of those people that you can expect to hear out all your problems and help. That’s not really the case. While Yin will sit down and hear your problems, she is not about to get herself tangled up in them. They are your own problems and not hers. She will certainly give advice, but she will never do anything to help you act to fix them.
Along with this, Yin has spent years trying to find peace within herself and the world and will easily cut out anyone who threatens to disrupt that, unless it’s impossible. Nothing seems to phase her, never causing her to lose the smile on her face. Her view is that everything in life happens for a reason, and you can either let yourself be swept away with it, or float above it.
Religious Preferences: Yin believes that the twin goddesses are indeed the daughters of the mother goddess, that being the only thing that binds them. She believes them to be separate individuals of equal power, watching over and guiding everyone together, but showing favour to those that devote their lives to them. Yin has utterly devoted her life to Mara, the lunar goddess, hoping that she will lead her to a life of peace until the day she comes for her.
BIO Yin, left on the doorstep of the Candra Temple swaddled in a blanket with a note of her name, has led a life of heartbreak after heartbreak since the first caused by her parents. She spent her young childhood in the Candra temple, learning and trying to find a place in which she could fit. When she turned eight, however, her magical gift manifested, much to the dismay of the priestesses that tried to catch her when she was in trouble.
She was then sent to the Sanyama Temple to train in her magic, with the hopes that she would grow and learn, and return to the Candra Temple, which she did upon turning sixteen. Yin had liked her time in the temple dedicated to the lunar goddess, and it had been a great learning opportunity to see slightly different views of the beloved goddesses. She wished to be a healer though, and, wanting to return to her childhood place, went to receive the gift.
She trained for a year, taking her vows and preparing to become a healer. But her dreams were crushed when she was rejected and denied the gift. Yin fled the temple then, unable to face her failure and the, in her mind, obvious disfavour the mother goddess held with her and forsook her vows.
Stuck with nowhere to go, longing for a home, Yin found love. Or as much love she could find in Harada Orochi . A general of the army then, Orochi showered her with promises to leave his wife, who seemed not to be able to get pregnant again, and marry her. That they would have a life together. Yin, longing for a home and love after the snubbing she received, believed him, entering into his care as he paid for her housing and necessities. She was his dirty little secret for three years.
Upon the death of his wife, trying to bring their second child into the world, Yin thought this would be their chance at a life together. Waiting a year, Yin, at the age of twenty-one, was more than ready to marry the man that she thought loved her, wanting to be a mother to Akane, and give Orochi more children. And again, everything was stolen from her as she found he had acquired more concubines, having been living in his house to help care for Akane when one came calling.
At this point, Yin figured he had lied about everything, and fled everything for the second time in her life. She didn’t know where her feet and heart had led her until her eyes fell upon the Sanyama temple, and she finally felt like she was returning home.
Her return was met with mixed reactions. Some felt happy that she was back, others treated her with disdain for having forsaken her vows with the Candra temple. Yin just turned to Mara, excepting the twin goddess as her patron deity, and throwing herself into her duties within the temple. Only then did she realize she was three months pregnant with her son, Shen.
Six years have passed since Yin gave birth to her one and only son, raising him with the help of the entire temple and doting upon him as any mother would. Some still think she can’t be trusted for what she had done, but Yin has been given the opportunity to represent the lunar goddess on the council of the Oracles after the last disappeared on the trip to the city. Excited, yet terrified, Yin will be leaving her self-made home for the first time in six years, all to serve her goddess.
Family: Tang Shen - Six-year-old son
Activities of Yin:
Yin spends nearly the first two hours of her morning, just before dawn practising forms of tai chi chuan to keep her body firm and healthy and to clear her mind from the day’s worries to be more effective at tackling them
Similarly, Yin spends the last two hours of her day, when the moon is rising, meditating in the temple’s courtyard and praying to Mara to thank her for the day she had and to ask her blessing for the next
Outside of this, Yin can often be found meditating in various parts of the temple when done with her duties and while her son is off in lessons. She will always be found at these times with her mala beads of amethyst and black moonstone in her hands
