There are three types of Natural Born magic users:
-Summoners
-Elementalists
-Psychics
There are also healers, but no one is born with this power. See below for more details.
Summoners
-Summon beasts/entities from other dimensions known collectively as "Elsewhere"
-Can have either one intense soul bonded summon OR have a different summon each time, with the ability to summon either randomly or to call a specific entity by name (using a true name requires more energy and training)
-Summoning requires either a complex incantation or spell circle to complete.
-Spell circles can be made as physical items. For example, a pendant with two linking pieces, which could be separated in order to end
the connection with the summon.
-Gifts manifest at 10-13 years of age, usually in a moment of great need.
Elementalists
-May use any number of the below, from one to all.
-Elements are:
>Earth
>Air
>Fire
>Water
-Gifts do no change. If your muse controls one element, they will always use that one element, if they have an affinity for all, they will always have the ability to control all, etc.
-Power will usually be divided between the elements. A master of only fire will be more skilled/powerful with fire magic than someone who wields all the elements. You may be strategic in combining them, but you are not the Avatar.
-Gifts manifest at 10-13 years of age and strengthen with practice
Psychics
-May have one gift of the following, or another psychic ability pre-approved by Admin
Telekinesis
Medium
Telepathy
Animal telepathy
Teleportation
Visions of the past
Dream Manipulation
Pushing
Memory Manipulation
Empathic Projection
- Only the Oracles have true visions of the future. Others may have minor ESP/Precognition, but no visions.
-Powers develop with practice and can be magnified by emotion. The emotional power is directly proportional to the amount of control, however, so lashing out in fear or anger would be powerful, but also imprecise and extremely dangerous.
-Powers begin to manifest as young as age 7, or as late as 16.
Healers
-Only those accepted by a temple are given the rites to receive healing gifts
-Some temples will give the rites to outsiders, but others will only allow committed priests/priestesses to receive them
-Not all priests/priestesses are healers, however; some do not want the rites and others are rejected by the Goddesses, and the process fails
-Healing magic is difficult and often leaves its user feeling drained/exhausted
