This site was designed as a sister site to The Wall, where I had a wonderful experience and was inspired to create the 'enemy' that the people of Northwind had abhorred for so long.
Originally, I was planning to have this be the story of the people who lived in the Settlement before the Northwinders made it there, and perhaps I'll create a 'Time Warp' board to play out that little drama, but for now, this is set at the same moment as The Wall, and the Havenfolk are facing some challenges of their own...
Like The Wall, this site is meant to be member driven. I'm giving the plot a starting point, and I have a few ideas of what positions exist in the government, and problems the characters may face, but what I really want is to let the characters run away with things themselves. If you have ideas, suggestions, or questions, please do not hesitate to come to me. This site is about you, and your muse. Be creative, run wild, imagine everything.
Your character will start at the beginning, as a level one. Through their life experiences and interactions, they can grow and level up. They will become stronger, smarter, and more developed as a result, and you'll be able to take on more important tasks. Don't be discouraged by low stats or levels, however--your character can still make their mark on this world right from the start.
Unlike The Wall, this site is not combat driven. This means that any fighting/combat type thread or event will need to be played as logically as possible and discussed between players of the involved characters. If it comes down to it, flip a coin. There will still be quest-like events here, however they will often be political and social more than combat focused, although characters may still encounter strange creatures while traveling outside of the city, near the mountains, or on the sea.
